The Human Race

This is a unique opportunity for individuals, families and businesses to work together to raise money for their favorite nonprofit organization. Organizations register for the Human Race. Participants then select from one of the participating organizations and collect pledges. Over 50 different nonprofit organizations participate in the Human Race every year! Which one will you support? The Human Race is a 5k walk, 5k non-competitive run or one-mile walk held at Thrivent Financial on Ballard Rd. in Appleton. The Volunteer Center of East Central WI organizes this event from media coverage to training team captains thus lessening the strain on local nonprofit agencies. This event is wheelchair and pet friendly. After the race, enjoy free food and a musical performance during the UW Madison Marching Band’s famous “5th Quarter”! Bill Jartz will emcee the event and Doug and Mary from KISS FM will keep the music pumping all morning!
